| Better yet... China slaps tariffs on our imported soybeans and basically moved a lot of their purchases to South America since the first trade war. That business we have still to get back. They do that, yet, we continue to import 1.4 million metric tons (2023 figure) of used cooking oil of which over 60% comes from China. That makes up roughly 6% of our soybeans being crushed for soy oil that is NOT. Being our current President is so Executive Order happy since he took office, why doesn't he do one of his "swipe of the pen magic wand" to ban imports of UCO from at least China? The tariff game obviously has not been working on them yet. |
