Politicians don’t offer solutions, they offer trade-offs.  This latest policy  just shifts the winners and losers around in the economy.  And the lower middle class Everyman, he sure seems due. But to repeat the historically unusual 1950 to 1980 growth pattern, I just don’t see it.

For me personally, a win would be an overall lessening of all tariffs.  That is the actual economic overall win for the mostest.  I am tired of heading my commmodity groups remind me that the USA has no actual trade policy because it just isn’t a concern of the country’s leadership.

i expect there will be a lot of pain in the next weeks as we see which country’s leadership blinks first.
