Crop insurance sets prices based on the futures market, so if supply/demand forces prices lower then the crop insurance "guarantee" drops, too. And that doesn't account for wider than normal basis when local supplies get too burdensome. I'm not that thrilled about the possibility of going back to LDP payment situations.
