Scranton
I did it back in the 2000s. I'm a poor farmer so I built my own planter...JD 7000 from 8 row wide to 16 row 20, had to add bit IIRC...Planted skip row in organic, spreading my 4640 tires out to 100" on center, and all 20's in conventional. Used a IH cult with one shank down each row. with the right sweep and washers tipping it up, it threw dirt pretty good. Bought an 8 row 20 made from a 6 row 30 JD head...the corn head units would just slide together enough to make 20" rows.

I was happy enough with my Rube Dugan setup, but then I rented some no till HEL ground and went to 12 row 30's. We do a better job of cultivating in 30" rows for sure but the 20" rows weren't horrible either.
