USDA is always hoping for a great planting season and growing season so their constant over estimation of the corn crop is not seen. If they can no longer hide the lie they will just upward adjust their feed usage and off to the races we go for a year or so. Suppliers all get to jack up their prices and then the margin vanishes into thin air once again, Farmers hating the IRS and loving fresh paint will once again make John Deere the king taking on more and more debt because to actually sell the crop requires them to pay the tax so the corn sits in inventory until the price collapses once again and we repeat the cycle one more time promising never to do it again but knowing that in the end we can't break the habit. | |
