| I have this brush cutter. I have abused he heck out of it. It will cut a 6" tree but need to take it slow. Demolishes 2-3" trees with ease. I use it on standard flow- 21gpm. In heavy stuff will have to stop, back up and let it spin up again and may take 15-20 seconds. The 700# flywheel keeps up the momentum to cut the heavy stuff. Deck is very heavy. Never going to ding or bend it. It was originally made by Dymax which is a company that makes HD forestry equipment. They sold off the skid steer attachments to Maize corp in Kansas a couple of years ago.
I paid 7K for mine used 15 years ago. I think the price may be near $20K but don't quote me. Still vastly cheaper than a dedicated mulcher and maintenance is very low. New blades and bushings (they call them pucks) when needed but they will last a long time. Mine has 4 blades. ( I noticed in the link below, they may have gone to 3 blades.) Each blade is held on by 3, 3/4" grade 8 bolts. I have broken a few bolts but never lost a blade yet. I had waterways that got out of control with trees and now almost completely clean. I use it on my bobcat T76 skid and bobcat TL519 telehandler. The telehandler is great for the reach and creek banks.
I like it because it can mulch up the smaller trees with little to no residual to clean up. Takes down a soft tree like a cedar with ease. Can take down an 8-9" cedar.
I also have their 14" tree shear. IMHO, best on the market for durability
