Southern MD | Next time you have some free time. Look at Google maps of South America. Look at all the crop land 30-40,000 acre chunks on one road. Look at a time lapse of how much land has been cleared and turned into cropland. Then thank your seed and equipment companies. China buys from the US when it’s convenient when it’s not they find a reason to reject or cancel orders. Also thank all the ppl that spec trade commodities. In my local area urban sprawl and a navy base being the largest local employer will be the end of row crop farming around me but we are lucky enough to have grain markets within 3 hours that use corn soybeans and wheat all for USA consumption whether be human or animal. | |
