West central IL | I suppose diversity is a beautiful aspect of humanity. We aren’t all ants in the colony. We have different beliefs. Different goals and dreams. Different ideas of how to go about things, how to get things done. But I’ll say, sometimes even when I disagree with someone, even vehemently, often you can at least see the logic in why they have that opinion even if you feel it’s flawed.
Then you have threads like this with the usual cast of authority biased posters, who love and believe in the powers that be, and I can’t help but shake my head. Even in the face of being proven clearly and demonstratively wrong, they just slightly tweak their argument and come right back at you. It’s not that science as an idea is flawed, or that scientific method isn’t extremely sound, but for that reason, those who start claiming to “trust the science” and suppressing freedoms in the process should spark instant alarm bells in the minds of all clear thinking and liberty loving citizens.
For what’s its worth, most of the greatest breakthroughs in scientific history happened because the person who figured it out, spit in the face of authority bias. Some of you would do well to ponder that thought a while, and be grateful that you live in the west. A culture with deep seeded values in liberty. | |
