| Also it is important to look at the bigger picture also. The vaccine industry is quite vocal about accepting virtually all the credit for the reduction of childhood deaths and on a small scale graph they can make it look that way. The bigger picture is that the majority of that reduction is attributable to other factors. Also the reduction at the time of and following vaccine introduction charts like that do not separate out the contributions of vaccines from the continuing advancements made in other areas of our health industry. Those charts suffer from the common well known correlation does not prove causation concept and using short term charts makes them very deceptive.
I want to give credit where credit is due and I believe those old vaccines deserve some credit. That is why our family is entirely up to schedule with the old style vaccines. But I am also aware that the introduction of vaccines only helped to finish the fight after a lot of other science had already fought most of that battle.
