I’m not familiar with NH combines but tell you the 36’ 974 has a 2-3’ offset to the right. We ran the CIH version 3063 for a couple years on a CIH 7010. You don’t need as long of unload auger but it’s a long ways over to the right end of the head. Hys pump is on the right side of the feederhouse and Draper belts are not reversible like on the FD70, 974 will find rocks in a field that doesn’t have them. Plus FD has a couple other features not found on the 974. Personally, if your combine will handle that size Draper I’d look for a 35’ FD 70. Think you’ll be happier

FWIW, first Draper in our area was a 36’ 974 on a 2388. Owner claimed he could cut 1 mph faster with it than with the 30’ 1020 it replaced
