Might as well weld it, nothing to lose.
I got a cheap set off Amazon to fix several things around even though I thought plastic welding was a gimmick. It works better after welding smalls and some scrap pieces, does have some tricks that make it work better. I watched some YouTube.
I would weld a water tank.
