Currently we have a 1985 JD 644C rated at 162 HP with a 3yd bucket. It only gets used 1-2 hours a day. Seldom have more than 2000lb in the bucket. Never ask it to do much "hard work" like digging/pushing etc. Occasionally use it to pick up lime or fertilizer delivered in bulk off the ground.

Get the 521 with a 3 yard bucket. It’ll swing 2,000 pounds or less all day long just as well as your current loader, most likely faster. It’s pointless to pay for a big loader if you don’t need a big loader.

it is pretty impressive when I go from the Case 721 to the L220E Volvo

the extra 45,000 lbs sure loads # faster !!!

Good?

The guy says he seldom lifts over 2,000# at a time. He could probably get by with a 321 if he wanted to. I’m not going to tell him get a 1021 just to have an extra 45,000 pounds.
