| I have done them. Sand and clean as other suggestion. Use plastic welder with correct plastic welding rod. Add some steel or Copper fibers into the melt for added strength, adding them perpendicular to crack. Unless you vee the plastic (with a sharp utility/exacto knife), you should do the inside as well. I had a friend do one with a 12" hole. He made a bulk head type clamp with plastic and wood on the outside. Sorry, I don't have a picture. This was for water only, but it is still holding after 15 or more years. 250 gallon round tank, break is on the side. | |
