Subject: Shelbourne 42' head on New Holland CR combine

Akron, Colorado
Long time since I posted on here but here goes. What's the smallest combine anybody has put behind a shelbourne XVC42 or XCS42? I have a really good shape CR6090 and thinking of running one combine for harvest since the hired hand quit and moved away and my dad is no longer able to run another machine.

My combine has the 80mm lift cylinders which are the big ones for the class but not the biggest available. The xcv42 tag says 9833 lbs which is probably 500 or so heavier than the Drago series 2 12r30 non chopping head that it lifts fine. Our wheat goes from 25 bpa continuous crop to 70+ summer fallow.

This cr has also been chipped so it's probably more like a 7090+.

I know sieve area is probably my limiting factor since this is a narrow body with small 17" rotors. So how disappointed will I be? Would I be better off with 36' or finding a class 8 or 9 even?

For context I was use to running one of 2 cih 6088s with cvs32 heads on about 3500+/- acres of wheat and rye. The rye is about 1/3 of the acres and is ready 10 days later than wheat so I think I'll be ok timing wise.

Thanks for your input in advance.
