I must be the odd man out.
Built tow bar for both a Honda TRX 500 and Pioneer 700 (both mounted in front receiver), and couldn't get either to tow properly.
The Pioneer towed straight, but when turning the front wheels didn't track through the turn (basically they skidded sideways through the turn).
Tried adjusting tow-in (was initially towed out slightly and adjusted to no toe-in), but didn't make a difference.
Front wheels on the TRX500 wanted to angle sideways, even when going straight.
All of the above was tried with machines idling and in neutral.
I'm about ready to look for one of those tow-dollies that they use to pull a vehicle behind RV's.
We pull a Honda 500 foreman around. Neutral. Engine off. Tarp strap to each side of handlebar from front rack. Works great. Pulls behind anything, tractors , trucks , vehicles. |
