Subject: RE: Steering Wheel Knobs

NW Iowa
With a B you could sometimes step hard on the right brake and let the steering wheel spin itself when making that sharp right hand turn. Then grab the knob to straighten back out. Dad always had the wooden knobs on tractors. The first Irrigation knob I saw was on Neighbor’s tractors in the early sixties. He was a Nebraska native who grew up not far from Columbus so he was partial to the Irrigation knob. I have a 35 A Deere that has the original wooden knob dad put on in 1950. It’s well worn and like what was mentioned it will grab the web of the thumb. All of my other tractors have the Irrigation knobs. Which reminds me, I need to get one for the backhoe.
