The discharge beater on a JD STS Combine has an automatic machine shut down.
Go from full speed to completely stopped and the whole machine just disengages.
Incredible safety feature to keep from totally plugging the entire machine.
Works sometimes and other times not.
Have to always keep the ears tuned to that particular squeal that that particular belt makes when it is slipping and not totally stopped.
That and many telltale sites and sounds.
