I don't know if I have answers, but I do want to ask you questions:
You raise a good point, that if I won't be using the info, then there's no point in specifically tracking it.
One way that this more-detailed info could be useful would be in valuing home-grown stored forage vs. purchased forage vs. grazed forage. That could drive decisions such as herd size, pasture vs. confinement, etc. But then too, those decisions are more likely to be based on what I want, rather than what makes the most profit. | |
