Colfax Indiana | Glad your brother was ok. And definitely not trying to derail your thread. But don’t fall into the false security that seatbelt saves in every scenario. Definitely lots of front crashes and side impacts yes this can be the case. But 22 years as responder to accidents I’ve seen both. Two incidents I could show you was one a lady slid off the interstate and turned car upside in a ditch. It was in a rain storm no one saw it happen but hours later car was seen , by the time we got ther she had drown setting in her seat upside down in water. Signs of the struggle to get seatbelt undone but couldn’t . Other was not for the faint at heart. It was car/semi wreck on busy interstate late at night car was hit so hard smashed its fuel tank and sparked emidate fire . Older couple still alert but fire was so intense Good Samaritans couldn’t get them out of car. Unfortunately seat belts was partially the deterrent. Wrecks cause people to become disoriented and I’ve seen people holding ther phone but couldn’t dial 911 | |
