Highland Center, in Southeast Iowa

VBarBar - 3/28/2025 07:59 I would say anywhere from 8 to 14 lights. A lot depends on the room. How high are the ceilings, what is the color of cabinets and walls, how much ambient light do you get, and most importantly how bright do you want it. I've had some kitchens where the client complains it's too dark and my eyeballs are burning, others where I can barely see and they can't dim them enough. Definitely do recommend dimmer switches and the lights with adjustable warmth settings.

I'd concur on that recommendation! When I'm working in the kitchen, I want the room to absolutely glow....no shadows, no dark spots....bright!  When I'm done and just living there, I want my dimmer to idle things down so it's calm and not intrusive.  We just recently got rid of the original (cheap) fluorescent under-cabinet lites. How I hated them! They buzzed at a real low level that was like fingernails on chalkboard to me. My husband couldn't even hear them, but they raised my BP every day. The new LEDs are wonderful.
