I had never been a big seatbelt wearer until I had three small kids. New wife wanted the kids to stay in their seat and not be climbing around the car. So they were instructed to wear seat belts. Well...... being a supposedly good parent I was told to lead by example. So we always wore our seatbelts so the kids would see us wearing the seatbelts. I guess habits formed can last because we still always wear our seatbelts. Even before the cars had the annoying seatbelt reminders.
