Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | When I worked as a tech there were several calls along this line. Everything seem right but I can't get the section valves to open.
Here are four things to check:
1) is there a nonzero rate present. The system will assume the same rate as "last time". If this is a new product there may not be a last time. Be certain some type of rate is entered even if you are not going to spray today.
2) is Auto Swath OFF (set in inactive)? Auto swath may be preventing the sections from opening if it thinks you are inside an area that has already been sprayed.
3) do you have a working implement switch? Or in the case of most sprayers, an implement switch jumper.
4) is the Liquid Module getting High Current Power? The only way to check for High Current Power is to unplug the two pin Deutsch connector which plugs into the short mating connector on most modules which contains a fairly heavy red and black wire. Use a meter to check between the red and black wire coming from the tractor. You must see +12VDC. The green flashing LED is not an indication of this. The green LED shows the status of the CAN communication between modules which is necessary but You MUST check for 12V from the red wire to the black wire. There are no screen messages to alert you to a problem there. I spent several hours trying to diagnose a system once on a planter that worked the day before. Long story short, the farmer had folded up the planter to back it in the shed. In so doing the wiring got tight and pulled apart a connector in the High Current branch. Once I got a bit more slack and plugged it back together everything worked again. |
