Years ago I had a pair of work boots resoled.  I took them to a local shoe repair shop.  I don't know how it is done.  However, after being resoled, they never did feel the same in wearing them.  I have decided not to have any resoled since. When boots or shoes worn, they get tossed and I get new ones.
