Keeping rat food cleaned up and in critter proof containers, seed pallets stored in shipping container and old deep freezes for sacks along with a couple feral cats seems to work best here.
Also, there is some tin laying around that may have a snake or twelve living under it!
At best I keep them to a minimum.
