| Without looking up in the parts catalog, the part number given is for a later model and the price for yours is considerably more. There is a square plug in the engine compartment near where the seat harness is secured near the top of the seat mounting plate. If you cannot find it, flip and latch the seat up and look on the backside of the seat mounting plate. Disconnect the plug. There will be three terminals in the plug. The female terminal on the machine side of the connector should have battery voltage at all times. On the seat side of the connector, take an ohm meter and probe between the male terminal and the female terminals. Have someone sit in the seat. You should have continuity between the male terminal and one of the female terminals. Then fasten the seat belt and then you should have continuity between the male terminal and the other female terminal. If that all checks out, your safety switches and seat harness are working.
