 Croswell, Michigan | We’ve done several rented farms. Pro-rate over 10 years, if the landlord breaks the deal the pay us 10% per year X the number of years left. This has happened one time on only 9 acres. Also we do a 10 year rent freeze although I voluntarily have raised the rent during the 10 years on most farms.
And yes we have written it off as a business expense.
