| The Pre-Gondola project from tbe 60s is still (obviously) visible on fort peck, it is a canal about 1/4 mile long, 300 yards wide and 50 yards deep (my estimate, probably wrong) they dug with explosives. I think it is very possible they used nuclear to dig the canal part, as very little information to be found about it. Here is info on where they "opened" the canal to the lake. I guess small potatoes compared to fort peck dam itself, but amazing what they can do. The shape of the canal is "perfect" still today.
