| Back in hs I worked for a neighbor on a corn shelling crew. Occasionally we run into a wire crib where the corn was packed so tight we’d have to put part of a stick in to break it loose. Retired coal miner always did the dynamiting. One time the old guy didn’t show up to work so the boatman decided he would do it. Put to much in & blew the crib apart. We spent two days shoveling what corn we could out of the guy’s barnlot. We got the dynamite at the local hardware. They kept it in the basement which was a dirt floor. Hardware only kept a few sticks at the store. They had a building out of town where they kept the bulk of it.
