Subject: Seasonal water lines and frost

NE ND
I own a small RV park in our small town. I have two frost free hydrants that can be used in winter and 9 more slots that are service by “seasonal” lines that are only 2-3’ deep. I have the four spots that can utilize the hydrants full. I have more people wanting to come, I’ve contemplated putting in more hydrants to be able to use it in winter more if there’s a demand but that’s something for the future. Question is this, temps are in the 40-50’s during the day and 20’s at night. If I hook up the seasonal lines and run them a while will they thaw out the ground around them and stay that way? Or will the frost underground still “add frost” and freeze the lines even tho the temps are above freezing?

I did clear the lines last fall with compressed air so I’m hoping they’re are clear if I did hook them up.
