Subject: Auto Steer for planting with a Deere 4440

West-Central Missouri
I am planting corn with a Deere 4440 tractor. I use A Trimble ez guide 250 with an ez steer. It is a bit low on accuracy for planting corn.
Does Trimble sell a controller I can replace the 250 with and upgrade to the next level accuracy?
Will the upgraded controller work with an ez steer 500?
Can i get much more accurate with a steering wheel motor or do i need auto steer that connects to the steering hydraulics to get better accuracy?
Does anyone sell an auto steer hydraulic control for a tractor that old?
Or is the steering wheel ring gear type more accurate than the wheel motor on the ez steer 500?
