I don’t understand why your daughter’s insurance has to pay. In ‘21 I was t-boned by a kid who ran a stop sign and totaled my pickup. He was 100 percent at fault and his insurance (progressive) called 4 days later with a generous offer to settle for my pickup. My insurance (State Farm) never was involved in that portion of the accident.
The million dollar healthcare bill was a different story.
