They all scream,,OH no!,,The grit will wear thru tin,,the finish will be bad,,,Pfft! I have done several right down on the shingles.Long enough screws,sweep or break off any fish lipped shingles,Have a massive 50 ft to peak barn,70 ft long,heck the rake is 32 ft ish,screwed the tin down thru shingles in 2001,never a leak,never a lift ,many hurricane force wind events.,,if shingles it would be now 400$ a square again,,get some good screws,not necessarily from the Amish,,I do use all just galvanized tin,,never a faded issue,,give her some.
