Unless that is what he was getting at and it hurt the corn later when it had to scavenge more than it set itself up for but N is about the only major one I could see being a problem if it puts on too much growth. (More of a small grain problem with lodging.)
Seed burn would be the biggest problem with in-furrow.
Leaving "P" out or starter fertilizer.
