Kettle Moraine, WI | Your mention of rocks makes me wonder if you develop a no-till reseeding program for it such as burn down, no till a grass and or annuals for forage for a year, terminate or winter kill, and no-till reseeding alfalfa if situations allow. Alternatively, adding grass seed notilled ,if that is saleable for you, with some N fertilizer may be another option to extend the forage stand with differing feed qualities.
