If you put it on the front you risk it getting on the tires and killing everything in your tracks. 

I have one of the Grassworks hydraulic driven felt roller 3pt wipers that I used to try to control ironweed. It doesn't suck as bad as the old PVC pipe rope wick versions, but it still sucks. It's just as easy to spot spray if you don't want to treat the whole pasture.
