| Have a half finished morton building. Looking to finish other half. Right now shop side has 40ft 18ft hyd door. Nice door but it is slow in winter when u wanna pull stuff in and out but no troubles. The other side on opposite wall that is going to be finished has a 36 x 18 opening with morton aluminum sliding. And on the south wall there is a 24 foot sliding door x 18. My opinion I don't need the 36 foot door if I have the 40. I priced out over head doors. A 30 by 16 and 24 x 16. Insulated. 45k installed. Thought about doing like a 20 and a 10 on the west wall but that will probably be just as spendy. I am in south dakota so snow and ice are a problem. I will do infloor heat on this side and concrete at least around the door with heat. I thought about power sliding for the aluminum morton doors. But not sure how that would go in the winter. I am trying to do it right this time on this side of the shop but also want to be smart about spending. Also I know those morton doors are spendy now. They were standard option when I built the building in like 2009. | |
