NW Iowa | I put mine in last week of nov or first week of dec. It was dry and the top 2-3in were not froze.
Disked the stalks shallow, and drilled in my seed.
I put cereal rye with it.
It snowed over the top and sat till spring.
It all came up and i was grazing it June 10th.
The rye was tall and just heading out. it protected the little stuff.
Then i grazed the rye down
Pulled them off for 35 or so days, it rained,and i started grazing again.
Just worked like a dream. | |
