SC WI
Ouch, A 3000 hour combine is what I can afford to upgrade to.

To OP I bet alot of S series are heading to Mexico or SA currently. Some for parts or to run.

The days of me participating in tractor pulling, says you can cram any reasonable engine in anything. You can fool sensors, re route sensors, and mute trouble codes. You can adapt bell houses to hydro, adapt output shaft to input shaft, run a manual throttle or a standalone ecm.

If I had a s680 and the engine hatched I would be real hesitant to replace the 13.5 with another. With that being said, I have a fleet of 9.0L Deeres and would probably update my s660 to an s670 instead of an s680. Just saw a used long block 9.0 out of an s670 for $30k though.
