Kansas City, Missouri | That’s exactly what I’ve been thinking. The EPA shouldn’t have an issue if you’re swapping in a newer engine that already meets emissions standards. And honestly, with what Deere charges to replace a blown 13.5, you’d think someone could put together a Cummins swap kit for close to the same price — maybe even cheaper. But even if the cost was about the same, the fact that it wouldn’t be a 13.5 is reason enough to make the switch. At least then you’d have some peace of mind knowing you’re not sitting on a ticking time bomb every harvest. Feels like a no-brainer to me — so why hasn’t anyone jumped on this yet? | |
