We take a 2’ square box and place it in the feed bunk. Then feed how ever many rounds you think. Weigh feed in box and come up with a #/ft for the bunk. Of course grain yield will make a difference on # fed per round. When we feed pairs on grass, silage out of the silo in the late summer, we feed 1/2# of 40-20 protien and IGR fly control.
