NW IA | I had that happen with a first calf heifer. Her legs were under her but when she tried to get up, her back legs would slide out. I ended up using a set of hobbles and got her on dirt, and I would have to help her stand for a while for a week or so, then she would started walking. I took the hobbles off. I was concerned about the bull and breeding back, but she did fine and stuck around for several years. | |
