Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Yes, on my older STX-450 Quad with a Trimble 750 and Nav II, there is a small black button on the arm rest as the previous reply mentions. As you are likely aware, with a Trimble system you push the button briefly and release. Steering engages when you release not when you push the button down.
For the Trimble if you pushed this button down and held it, steering would not engage until you released it.
If this is on another brand of tractor you may not have a remote engage switch but one is certainly available. For me having a remote engage button would be a must since having to push the ICON on the display would be clumsy. To disengage, I just grab the steering wheel and turn it as this seems natural. |
