Western-Central Lower Michigan | When I had German Shorthairs (for 30 yrs) I fed a better dog food, and they were self feeders. Always food down, never had a fat dog. I never EVER fed table scraps or mixed anything in the food. Just dry dog kibbles.
I did find that at the farm stores, I would get a higher protein food and settled on "Chicken and Rice" in either Purina or one of the other brands at the farm store. |
