This is volunteer wheat after double crop soybeans. Neighbors planted wheat looks fine. Field was last sprayed with valor and zidua in June. Field has been in a rotation of corn wheat double crop soybeans the last 6 years, normally kill the volunteer wheat in March or early April. Field had 3 tons of lime spread 10 days ago, it has been warm and windy this month. The residue has not moved in the wind. If it is a disease would it carry over to wheat that would be planted in October? Would a cover crop of rye planted this fall be affected by it? How long would it need to be out of wheat or rye for it to be safe to plant wheat again?
