We had a few acres by the shop empty that was going into a white mold trial the next year so I planted some sunflowers late July to have something growing out there.

Didn’t get them knocked down in time so that winter I took the combine and hacked them down because the stupid things had actually made seed. You’d probably have a decent shot at getting them to produce as a double crop.

Plant with the planter, full season around here ive seen 1800lb to 2800lb. Some guys get over 3000lb.

I used a cornhead for my little plot and a neighbor used to combine a bunch with his. You get a lot of loss between the deck plates but it will work better than the Draper.
