E.Central MN | My brother and his wife have hit deer and totaled their older vehicles. He was meeting a semi about 8 miles from home when a deer ran out between them so no time to react. His wife was driving in the right lane of a Mpls freeway (494) when a deer crossed the opposite two lanes, down into the median area and ran in front of the car next to her, she didn't see it until she hit it. He got used to seeing deer cross near a neighbor's house so he slowed down when he got there. He saw one in the ditch ready to cross the road so he slowed down almost to a stop, the deer ran into the side of his car and broke its neck. | |
