tedbear, thanks for posting. You have any opinion/experience on the reliability of whisker switches vs the pushbutton style? In some searching, I see there really are quite a few different whisker switches (the actual switch), even if supplied by Kinze, Ag Leader, or JD. So that it might be difficult to generalize since they probably all use a different manufacturer of the actual switch mechanism (and likely a different one over time). In searching the forums, older posts seem to indicate the pushbuttons worked better and seemed more reliable.

With the suggestions of using a whisker switch at the location I'm thinking of, I'm tempted to try a magnetic mounted one:

I think I can just stick on at an angle to the front bar and it will flex as it comes down to the fixed frame. Worst case is I toss the magnetic and have to rig up a bracket.
