Have customers doing trials and this is not the case.


Have also seen this every time we did trials, nh3 was always the best yield and roi as a single N source.

That being said we have found what works the best for us is multiple sources. Not sure if it’s the source of N or the timing, but nh3 top dressed with urea/ams (if it gets timely rains) worked well. But now we do 20 gal 32/ATS with the planter on top of a reduced rate of spring nh3 on a few acres and 32/ATS on top of fall hog manure. This has worked very well and seems to get the corn off to a quicker start which has helped us keep ahead of several early season dry spells that other nearby fields showed stress from.
