West Union, Illinois

I don't think a solar setup will do what you need without spending bunches of money.  That much power and batteries to store it, especially if you are needing to run the motor after dark, is going to be huge.   I looked at solar for my house (not farm, just residential) and pre-covid it as $45,000 and that is no batteries.  It was just net metering into the grid.  Maybe if you were in the Great Plains it might work a little better.  But solar is drastically affected by shading (including clouds).  The farther east you go the more clouds and humidity and less solar power available

You say you don't have 3 phase, do you have single phase?  You might look into a 3 phase converter.  I'm not sure about starting or running a 10 hp motor but there's other folks on here that could give good advice.

There's also the possibility of a generator (aka gen set).  I know of a grain setup with bins, leg, dryer, etc that is about a mile from utility power.  The whole thing runs off a BIG diesel generator.

But bottom line, I suspect solar will not do what you need without spending big bucks
