Wife has hit or been hit by a couple, tapped one with my car hard enough to break its legs but not damage the bumper (kind of a surprise on that one.) Had one run into the side of a work pickup but didn't do much. Was a passenger in a van that ran one over at highway speed.
Usually a few near misses each year. Some roads just aren't good to drive on here after dark, and others aren't good period.
